IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note that this app predates iOS 7/8 and is not a keyboard extension. The custom row of keys can only be used inside the app itself. Moreover, the custom row of keys will not visually match the system keyboard on iOS 7 and later.

DESCRIPTION

Configure an extra row of keys to put above the standard onscreen keyboard. Next, use the scratchpad to compose a text with the help of your custom keybar and copy it to the clipboard.

Add keys to your custom keybar by selecting them from the key table. The table contains keys of the following types:

– Navigation keys: left/right, previous/next word, start/end of line, home/end
– Accents and tone marks: Combine ´, ¨, ^, ¯, and other diacritics with any letter
– Punctuation and common symbols: Quick access to (, ), «, », , !, ¿, ‰, $, ©, and more
– Technical symbols: Type Ω, ×, ⇒, ∞, ∀, …
– Emoji

Most characters entered with the help of KeyBar are compatible with virtually all apps on modern operating systems. Emoji compatibility varies. Before purchasing this app please understand that the keybar you configure will not show up in other apps.

I will consider all requests to add new symbols to the key table as long as there is a good use case to be made and as long as they are supported by the iOS system font.

This app is compatible with TextExpander touch.

As mentioned already, your custom keybar will NOT show up in other apps. This is a limitation beyond my control. However, if theres a particular app that you want to use your keybar in, you could try asking the developer(s) of that app to make their app compatible with KeyBarApp. This would allow your custom keybar from KeyBarApp to show up in their app. Making apps compatible with KeyBarApp is (usually) very easy. Technical details can be found on the KeyBarApp website.
